Since 1946 The Sabo family has been providing the Cleveland area with excellent Dry Cleaning Service. Owners Geza and Dave Sabo have built a solid reputation as Cleveland’s most trusted dry cleaners. The Sabo’s are committed to providing quality service to the community. They believe that a reputation as an honest and reliable business is the recipe for success. Geza Sabo started in the dry cleaning business right after World War II. He used his GI bill to go to the NID, National Institute of Drycleaning, where he graduated and has been involved with the dry cleaning industry since. He started in the dry cleaning business with his brothers Rudy and Ernie and opened Lee Cleaners on Kinsman; it is still there in business.

Geza is past President of the OCA, Ohio Cleaners Association, past member of IFI, International Fabricare Institute, currently a member of the NCA, National Cleaners Association. In 1973 Geza started the OCG, Ohio Cost Group, headed by Tom Kimmel past president of the OCA The OCG was a group of 10 to 15 dry cleaners that met every quarter at a member’s plant and went over the operation from top to bottom. 1981 became charter members of the Golomb Group. A marketer to dry cleaners based out of Chicago. Geza is also a past recipient of the Clean Award, a lifetime achievement award In dry cleaning
Dave grew up in the Cleveland area, helping his father with his business. Dave began apprenticing his father at the age of 12 and had developed a deep knowledge and understanding of running a successful enterprise. Dave inherited his father's unique insight and expertise. Dave is carrying on the tradition started in the Sabo family many years ago.

Dave graduated Solon High School in 1975 and then took various college courses, mainly computer. Dave is considered as a true computer pioneer for the industry. He started using computers in the late 70’s for the business and had one of the first POS (point of sale) computer systems for the dry cleaning industry. He attended IFI dry cleaning school in 1976 and management school in 1978.
In 1984 -1986 Dave was president of KBUG (Computer Business Users Group) which was a group of businessmen and women from the east side of Cleveland that met monthly to discuss computer use in their own business. This was at the time was real groundbreaking business development.
In 1985 Dave won the National Marketing Contest for Dry cleaning. He still has innovative ideas and is constantly consulted by his peers for advice in marketing, production and cost analysis. Dave was on the OCA board from 1976 to 1990 as District Director and Trustee. Dave was very involved in the Ohio Cost Group where he visited and learned first hand all the different ways to operate dry cleaners and business. Dave was very active with the Golomb Group. Stan Golomb was Dave’s mentor in marketing and advertising.
In 1990 Dave was invited to join the Sid Tuchman Management Group. Sid Tuchman is one of the industries top teachers. He owned and operated 33 plants in the Indianapolis In 1990 he started up the Sid Tuchman Management Group. Dave and Geza were charter members for over ten years. In those ten years, we visited dry cleaning plants all over America and Canada. Many were top operators, many who have gone on to be past presidents, directors, and trustees of IFI and OCA. The knowledge gained from the Tuchman group is priceless, and many of the things learned are still used today.

Geza Sabo is retired now, but Dave’s three sons, John, Luke, and Paul, have come on board to continue to offer excellent service and keep the family business going.
